Review for JoLLE

Application Process

To apply to be a member of the JoLLE External Review Board, please submit a current CV that includes information about your current position, research interests and areas of expertise using the JoLLE topic list, and relevant experience with academic publishing. Previous experience with reviewing for academic journals is not a requirement. However, areas of interest are crucial for pairing you with appropriate articles for review. Please send applications to Alexandra Lampp Berglund at JoLLE.Principal.Editor@gmail.com through a permanent email address (e.g., Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo).

Once we have received your application, we will be in touch with you about next steps for getting set up in our submission system and provide you with our packet of reviewer resources.

Review Process

You will receive an email from Merida Lang, the Managing Editor, to officially invite you to review a manuscript within your areas of interest and to go over review process procedures. You will have two weeks to complete your review, but we ask that you either accept or decline the invitation quickly. Any questions about the review process can be directed to Merida Lang at Jolle.Submissions@gmail.com.

As a member of the JoLLE External Review Board, you may be called on to review one to two manuscripts in your area of interest per semester. You will be able to add this appointment to the service section of your CV. Information regarding the current External Review Board can be found on the section of our website entitled External Review Board.
