    This year’s theme will be “Embodied and/or Participatory Literacies: Inspire, Engage, Create, Transform.” This theme welcomes wide-ranging notions of how one’s understandings of language and literacy includes students’ and teachers’ construction and participation in the world through their bodies. The JoLLE@UGA Winter Conference has established itself as a creative place for educators to bridge theory, research, and practice in hands-on and action-oriented ways.

  • Manuscript Submissions:

    JoLLE accepts manuscripts year round. In addition, we are accepting manuscripts for a special themed Spring issue, titled: "Embodied and/or Participatory Literacies". All submissions should meet the journal’s guidelines.

    The Journal of Language & Literacy Education is a peer-reviewed, open access journal housed in the Department of Language & Literacy Education in the College of Education at The University of Georgia.

    Since its inception in 2004, JoLLE has provided a space for scholars to engage readers in a broad spectrum of issues related to the field. As an online journal, we encourage submissions that incorporate multiple modes (e.g., photographs, artwork, video, and graphics).
