Children & Young Adult Literature (CYAL) Book Reviews
The Journal of Language and Literacy Education reviews recently published or soon-to-be-published children’s and young adult literature. At JoLLE, we value students’ voices and creativity in reflecting their understanding and evaluation of the literature that is written for them. For this year’s spring issue, we are pleased to share reflections from parents, teachers, and students on topics related to diversity, social justice, disability, faith, and teamwork. We hope these reviews will promote engagement with textual literacy and understanding of literature for learners from different age groups. We thank the students, teachers, and caregivers who have participated in our Children and Young Adult Literature book reviews. We hope to see more reviews from children and adults around the globe.

Poetry, Fiction, & Visual Arts
In the Spring 2022 issue of JoLLE, we are proud to present a Poetry, Fiction, & Visual Arts section that shows voices from educators, students, and artists in diverse contexts around the world. Our contributors, who are also researchers and educators, provide us both practical inspiration and poetic interpretation of many issues related to teaching, emotions, language, and literacy.
